In 2012, MAX, as a Junior Cross Country team member at St. X, helped the Tigers win the State Championship and was selected to the 1st Team, Cross Country Academic All-State Team.

SAM (#7), a Senior at Trinity High School, was named to the 1st Team, All-State Soccer, and helped lead the Shamrocks to the KY State Title game.

COURTNEY, as senior at Mercy Academy was named KY’s “Miss Volleyball” and named to the All-State 1st team.  COURTNEY has earned an athletic scholarship to Auburn University.  Last year, COURTNEY was also selected to join the KY 1st Team All-State Team.

LAUREN and HELEN, both 2011 graduates, helped propel Sacred Heart to the 7th Region Soccer title en route to the KY State Soccer Championship game.

CHRIS, a Senior at St. X, earned 2nd place in the 2013 KY Cross Country Championship race, leading the Tigers to their 3rd consecutive title.  Last year, CHRIS also helped the Tigers win the State Championship and was selected to the 1st Team, Cross Country Academic All-State Team.

JACOB, a Senior Trinity High School Shamrock star, was named to KY’s Honorable Mention All-Star team.

AUSTIN, a St. X Senior, has signed to play college baseball at U of L.  Clemons helped lead the Tigers to the KY State Tournament last spring, the second such trip during the first three years of his high school career.

CONGRATULATIONS TOM COOPER (HTPS ’10) - SWIMMING

TOM, a Trinity senior and state swimming champ, signed his National Letter of Intent and Athletic Agreement last week to swim for the University of Louisville.  Cooper earned two individual state titles as a sophomore and broke the state record in the 100 free.  As a junior, he won the state 100 butterfly, and took third in the 200 free.

MADISON and LIZZIE, both 2010 graduates, were members of Sacred Heart’s varsity Soccer team that won the 7th Region title and were Runners Up for the 2013 KY State Soccer Championship.

HEATHER, an Assumption senior, earned 1st Team All-State Soccer honors.

COLLIN, COLEMAN, and CALEB, are members of the St. X Varsity Lacrosse team, and were named this week to the KY Lacrosse Association High School All-State team.

CONGRATULATIONS COLLIN ROPPEL (HTPS ’11), COLEMAN WEBB (HTPS ’11), AND CALEB GRIMES (HTPS ’11) - LACROSSE

Nine HTPS alums helped Sacred Heart beat KCD 11-8 last night for the 2014 KY Lacrosse Championship.  This was the Valkyries’ second title in a row, and third in the past four years; all the victories were over the Bearcats.

Congratulations to the newest HTPS alums, the Class of 2015! We thank them for representing our school well in the classroom and on the playing courts, fields and tracks.


We’d also like to salute another group of HTPS graduates, the Class of 2011, as they graduate this weekend. Several class members have distinguished themselves in their high school careers:

  1. Tonight, St. X Lacrosse players Tanner Black, Walker Dougherty, Collin Roppel, Coleman Webb & Jack Werner will play for a 2nd consecutive KY State title. (Will Burkley is team manager).

  2. Trinity’s Lacrosse team won state in 2013 and reached the state semi-finals this year, led by Grant Keller,Chris & Will Laveck, and Matthew Wallace.

  3. Sacred Heart Seniors Julia Boswell, Mary Alyce Furlong, Hannah Hardy, Mallory Killion, Katherine Klem will contend for their 2nd consecutive state title next week.

  4. Three more former Eagles will pursue college sports: James Inman (Trinity Senior) will play golf at Bellarmine University. Trey Hubbuch (St. X Senior) will swim for Indiana University. Clark Campbell (St. X Senior) will play football at Western KY University.
